A Ph.D./D.B.A. Program in Values-Driven Leadership

Designed for Executives, including Health Care Professionals & Practitioners

Benedictine University’s doctoral program in values-driven leadership helps executives, including Administrators, Management Professionals, and senior practitioners within health care, have a transformative impact on business and society. The program offers a unique combination of research, theory, practice, and action-based learning to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to lead strategically at the intersection of business and society.

This sort of leadership is vital within health care systems, says Shelly Major, Ph.D., a graduate and Chief Nursing Officer with the University of Illinois Hospital and Health System (UI Health). “There’s not a health care organization that does not have a Mission, Vision and Values statement,” says Major. “It’s part of our daily lives.” She believes the doctoral program helps leaders like herself create health care systems that better serve patients, doctors, nurses, and their community.
